How do I add an article?
In Safari, open the article, tap •••, then Share, then Crumple. It lands in your Library, ready to read.
How do I open an EPUB?
Tap + in the Library and pick the book from Files. Crumple opens standard EPUB files without DRM; books locked to another store’s app won’t open.
What is Stream?
Stream shows your article one word at a time in the same spot, so your eyes don’t have to travel. A red letter marks where to rest your eye, and a light haptic marks punctuation. Set the pace in Settings. It’s there for focus, not for racing.
Do the focus loops use battery or data?
The loops (rain, waves, ink, night drive, lava) are short, muted videos bundled inside the app, so they use no data and work offline. Like any video they use a little battery; switch the loop off in Settings if you’d rather not.
Where is my data, and how do I delete it?
Your library, reading positions and settings live only on your iPhone. There’s no account and no cloud copy. Deleting the app deletes all of it. See the privacy policy for the four anonymous usage events the app sends.
Crumple isn’t in my share sheet
In the share sheet, scroll the row of app icons to the end and tap More, then Edit (or Edit Actions). Turn Crumple on, and drag it near the front so it’s easy to find next time. If it still doesn’t appear, open Crumple once and try again.
